Why Does Drinking Wine On An Empty Stomach Cause Pains?
I am a 31 year old male in good health. When I drink wine on an empty stomach, I get a sharp pain in my shoulder, some discomfort in my stomach, and it feels as if my temperatue rises. After about 5 - 10 minutes, the symptoms subsides and I don't have anymore problems. If I drink wine during the course of the meal, I don't get any of those symptoms. The only time I drink wine is to begin my meal Friday night and Saturday day. Recently I started to use grape juice instead, and it doesn't have an effect on me. What could be the possible cause for the symptoms, and what's the best way to prevent it.
