Why Does Mouth Swab Does Not Show Valium As On Xanax?
Hello I just took a mouth swab for welfare which I have been doing for a while now, I am prescribed xanax 1mg 3 times a day. I have been diagnosed with severe anxiety and severe manic deppression. i am on disability but just started a job where at times i will be in a 15 passenger van with 14 other people and i go into a severe panic attack. i did nnot have my xanax with me so a fellow worker asked if i needed a valium i was prescribed them in past so i knew what they did so i said yes. I was called by welfare saying i failed mhy moouth swab for valium which in past i have taken many many many times and it showed up same as xanax. why is it showing up different now???

Depending on the type of test done valium and Xanax can be differentiated in drug screen. Some laboratories use sophisticated test that differentiates between the two drugs. However, most laboratories report both Xanax and valium as benzodiazepine.
