Why Does My Child’s Fever Persist Despite P250 And Ibugesic And Can I Give Her Meftal-P Instead?

Hi, I have a query like my daughter is getting high fever touching 102 quite often. As per the doctors advice I am giving P250 when she is having 100 or something. But above 101 she suggested to take Ibugesic but its not working as expected. She is still running with high fever touching 102..kindly advice can we go with Meftal-P?

Hello,

Please try some other brand and try to calculate the exact dose of her weight, and requirement. Try to keep her chill by making sponging in her face, and forehead and try to do sponging with water when ever there is high fever, Para 250 is more than enough, and if the fever doesn't reduce even after 3-5 days kindly give CRP, and fever profile blood test to diagnose any regional or infectious fever.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
