Why Does My Hearing Go Away When I Stand Suddenly ?

My hearing goes away when I stand suddenly. It s kind of like my ears are stopped up . I ve been to a doctor, and they said I was anemic and put me on iron for 4 weeks. However, I m still experiencing the temporary hearing loss upon standing. It gradually comes back whenever I sit down for a few minutes. Is this due to low blood pressure from the anemia? I m on blood pressure medicine for high blood pressure, and whenever I m at the doctor s office, my blood pressure is normal.

Hello,

Changes in blood pressure, or even the anemia, can lower the oxygen to the brain and ears withstanding. There could be fluid in the ears or irritated nerves in the ear, but the blood flow issues are more common for this pattern. cannot say in your particular case, but generally.
