From your description it looks like you have been having this on and off. You haven't mentioned if you have this in any other muscle group and your age and how long you have been having this since.
One conditions that can give rise to swelling in calf is a condition called venous or perforator incompetence. It means the valves which normally allow blood to flow from superficial to deep become incompetent. The blood flows in both directions, giving rise to
varicose veins. You need a scan that will look at all veins and valves, specifically looking for incompetence.
A rare cause of calf swelling, in the context of post-feeding is a
glycogen storage disorder. That means the
glucose in our body is stored in muscles is stored as glycogen and gets released for use periodically. Due to defective storage and release mechanism muscle swelling can occur.
Also an enzyme called CPK is excessively elevated in storage disorders and excessive exercise and also post-feeding.
You have to check these with your PHYSICIAN.
