Why Does My Son Vomit When He Eats 2 Hours Before Bedtime?

If my 5 year old son eats 2 hours before bedtime he will vomit in his bed. For example: had a small/light meal at 6pm, went to bed at 8pm, coughed around 9:30 and threw up. Happens frequently. If I fee him dinner before 4:30 then it typically does not occur.

Helli. Thank you for your question. I am sorry your son is not well. There are several possible causes. The most common would be some form of reflux. That would account for his inability to keep his food down in the evenings. the diagnosis of reflux sometimes requires the help of medication in order to resolve.
