Why Does My Stomach Get Inflamed?

About 2 weeks ago i was very sick in the hospital. I was in a lot of pain. They found my stomach very inflammed and I have dudonitis (sp). I am taking carafat, protonix and aloe pills. My stomach was ok for a week but the pain is comming back and i am starting to not be able to eat due to the pain. Know my throat hurts. My throat feels inflammed. I can taste/feel the acid in my throat. It feels like there is somthing stuck in. I do not know what to do

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood your concerns.
Duodenitis mean an upper GI Endoscopy was done. The pain in throat, and all the symptoms are suggestive of acidity related problems including the symptoms of GERD.
Hence I would advise you the following:
Continue Protonix, Carafat to be taken particularly when on empty stomach.
Also ask for a prescription of Domperidone to control the acid reflux and pain in throat is this is due to GERD.
Also needed are the following:
Soft bland diet in small and frequent quantities.
Avoid all the foods and beverages that cause the symptoms aggravation.
No stress or anxiety as these directly affect the cause and the outcome of the treatment.
