Why Does My Vaginal Canal Get Over Stimulated ?

Sometimes my vaginal canal becomes extremely stimulated by itself at night to the point where I cannot sleep or do anything else without being bothered by it. The only way to get rid of it is to masterbate or have sex. What is wrong?
