Why Does One Lose Body Weight?

I was around 6 2 150 not even a month ago. I have lost 10 pounds with out doing anything different. About a year ago I had become a light meat eater, eggs and fish. I've weighed 150 for over a year now. Why am I losing weight? I can't gain it back! I even started to eat meat again. I wrestled an estimated 13 yrs of my life and always lost weight to be at the lowest weight class. Could this have possibly caused my body to think gaining weight is not an option? I don't have aids because I've had the same girl friend for 2 years and she was 16 when we started dating. I bite my finger nails, travled from ohio to florida by plane twice within the last 2 months, lost my job, but don't feel stressed. I dono help please! When I use lift I stopped gaining muscle and even when I changed my workout it didn't help.

Hello,

If you are losing weight with adequate food intake, then hyperthyroidism (increased thyroid hormone) should be looked for. Please be advised to follow-up with your primary care provider for getting TSH, T3, and T4 levels checked.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Lekshmi Rita Venugopal
