Why Has Lower Abdominal Pain And Frequent Urination Not Subsided After Taking Cystopurin For UTI?
I had a UTI, and took Cystopurin to get rid of it. The pain of/and frequent urination is gone now, but there is a deep pain in my left lower abdomen. It hurts to inhale or exhale deeply, and when I move too fast it hurts. I think I should also mention that I had unprotected sex on my period just before I started feeling the pain of what I assumed was the UTI.
Hello, Welcome to healthcare magic, Cystopurin makes the urine less acidic thereby decreasing the discomfort. But it does not cure the infection. I feel you should see a doctor and get urine routine test and an examination. The other possibilities are stones in ureter or kidney, or pelvic inflammatory disease. Hope this helped, Take care.
Welcome to HCM. It is better to go for urine test to confirm the recovery. If there is infection then go for urine culture and sensitivity test. Start complete course of proper antibiotic. Drink more water and other liquids. Lower abdomen pain might be due to PID(pelvic inflammatory disease). Keep in touch with your doctor.
