Why Have I Lost The Elasticity Of Vagina After Stopping The Estrogen Patch ?

I was on an estrogen patch, but my dr took me off of it bc I am a smoker. Since then about 3 months, I have noticed that not only do I need artificial lubrication for sex but that my vagina has lost elasticity and is painful. What can I do to get the stretchiness back ?

Hi
Although you haven't mentioned your age I presume you are not mensturating and therefore using estrogen patch. estrogen patch is not really advisable in smokers and that's why your doctor stopped it. But lack of estrogen can cause vagina to lose its elasticity and feel dry.The best solution would be to apply some estrogen cream in the vagina. As it does get absorbed in the body it can be used by smokers .
