Why Have My Knuckles Deformed After An Injury While X Ray Report Showed No Fracture?
hi this is ray . 1 year back ,in rage i punched a wall so hard that my right hand middle finger knuckle broke . an year later , during a fight , my left hand anded on a wall and even middle finger knuckle of my left hand is broken . when i went for x ray , there were no reports of fracture and i can make a fist . though both the knuckles have deformed now . i may ound silly but just wanted to know , can i do boxing
Hello, Deformity is common without fracture due to soft tissue injury ( Tendon) in hand. The tendon injury if not treated may result in fibrosis and contraction of tendon. This result in permanent deformity in knuckles or joints in hands. You need plastic surgery to release this contracture.
