Why Her Leg Is Going To Sleep After Being Hit By Softball?

My daughter was hit in leg with a fastpitch softball. She went to ER as her knee was swelling. They said deep contusion with possible hematoma forming. However, today she keeps complaining that her leg is going to sleep. Is this something to be concerned about?

Hello,

As the hematoma is diagnosed was there any MRI taken? if not I will advise one. For now, stabilize the knee joint with a knee brace and hot water fermentation. This will help reduce the symptoms. Wait for the symptoms to subside. Usually, in kids, there are no major injuries.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
