Why I Am Feeling Like Something Stuck In Throat?

I am a 40year old male ..I am extremy tired all the time and in the past two months i have gained 20 pounds..Im always hungry...but., now,. my throat feels funny like ther is something stuck in it,,,Its below the adams apple....Would that be the thyroid and how do they test??????

Hello,
There could be thyroid problem as you have generalised problem.
You can get blood test for the same ie T3 , T4, TSH.
This is called as thyroid function test. As the thyroid gland is meant to secrete hormones it is the hormones we test for one secreted to stimulate the thyroid gland and the other produced from it.
This test can tell that whether your thyroid gland is secreting hormones normally or excessively or in lesser amounts .
The thyroid hormones are meant for maintaining the basal metabolic rate of the body. which determines the metabolism and is important for various functions of the body.
