Why I Am Getting Runny, Watery Nose In Cold Climate ?

My nose waters every time I leave the house outside in the winter air. I come from the humid tropics and this is my first winter in UK. The skin around and under my nostrils are raw and red from the watering. My eyes are red and teary too. What s wrong?

Hello, Welcome to Healthcaremagic!
It seems you have allergic rhinitis induced by cold air. You protect yourself from cold, dry atmosphere as much as possible. Antihistamines like cetirizine & steam inhalation should provide benefit. Also consult an ENT specialist, if not much relief. The skin around nostrils may be raw & red due to dry, cold air-- apply vaseline or some good moisturizing cream.
