Hello,

You are advised not to douche your vagina; just take care of your hygiene. Avoid sexual intercourse and masturbation for a couple of days. Give time for your vagina to heal. If the vulva/vagina is inflamed (from infection, dermatitis, or dryness), inserting medication may irritate raw tissue more.

You have used Cansoft CL for 3 years; that's quite a long time. Overuse of antifungals/antibiotics can disturb the natural vaginal balance, making burning/dryness worse. It can also be due to developed sensitivity or allergy to one of the components in Cansoft CL.

Take probiotics (curd/yogurt orally or probiotic capsules) to help restore vaginal flora. Do not scratch; it will worsen symptoms. Avoid soaps or harsh washes in the vulva area. Wear loose cotton underwear; avoid panty liners or pads unless needed. Do not apply it if it is causing you discomfort.

Take vitamin E-rich food or capsules once daily for 10 days to prevent dryness. Take adequate water. Let the vagina and vulva heal. You can apply Soframycin ointment to give it a soothing effect. Get re-examined. If the infection is not actually yeast but bacterial vaginosis, a mixed infection, or lichen sclerosus, the medicine may worsen irritation instead of helping.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
