Why Is Rovamycin Advised During Pregnancy?
Hi Dr, I am pregnant for the first time in the 12 th week , I have positive IgG for CMV cytomegalovirus before pregnancy but negative IgM , my doctor prescribed me now Rovamycin 2 capsules once per day for 15 days , but I am afraid to take it ... Is it mandatory for me to take it ? And is it safe for my baby at this time ? Thanks so much Dr

well rovamycin is a antibiotic which contains the salt SPIRAMYCIN...it is used in pregnancy to specifically treat a parasitic infection called TOXOPLASMOSIS...it is considered safe to be used during pregnancy so you can take it without any worries,its safe for you and your baby..
