Why Is Zanocin Not Able To Control Yellowish Loose Stools?

My 24 months old daughter had a episode of loose motions for the past three days. The stools were watery and yellowish in color. I got her consulted with the pedatrician yesterday who has advised Zanocin Syrup 5 ml twice a day. but till the loose motion not stopped why

Stool culture and sensitivity to be done to know the exact bug causing the problem and also the exact drug to be used.
Zanocin may be resistant.
Many times loose motions could be due to viral diarrhea .It takes time and goes of its own.
Please take care of the hydration.
