Why Is A Blood Test Suggested When Traces Of Blood Are Found In Urine?
Yes. About a month ago I had an infection. I took antibiotics, and felt better immediately. Just a couple of days ago I went in for my CDL medical, and I was told there was a small trace of Blood in my urine. The physician was at a urgent care facility, stated it was probably nothing, Also stated I should go in for some blood tests. Any comment?
1. Small traces of blood are normal, in fact, normal urine contains PS. Although blood in urine [hematuria] is harmless, but if they have noticed a small trace of blood [microscopic hematuria], you should contact a Urologist, who will identify whether it is normal or due to some new or untreated infection. [ cause [if any] can vary from infection, benign (non-cancerous) tumors, stones in the kidney or bladder, or other benign urinary tract conditions]
