Why Is Controloc 40 Mg Prescribed?

Dear Doctor, i am on Controloc 40 mg every other day , taken 1/2 hour befor food. What is Controloc 40mg doing for me ? any side effects on long term use,? and this was prescribe by my doctor at at Gastrointestinal Endoscopy & Liver Centre . thank you in anticipation PG 73 years old, 5ft 6 inches weight 66kg. no diebetes, no hyper tension, a little high on cholestrol, under medical supervision.
