Why Is It Aching In The Upper Left Arm?

I have had an aching upper left arm for a few weeks, as if I ve been punched hard in the bicep, which makes it difficult to write (I am left handed). This afternoon my whole body started aching and still does and, after resting, lying down, for the past 90 minutes, my BP is 180/90. I take medication for my BP and do not usually have any problems with it. It may just be a virus but combined with the severe ache in my bicep I am a little concerned.

Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you have pain whole body since one day but your left arm is aching for few weeks. From one day you may be suffering from flu but aching of arm can be due to some muscle pull.You can take analgesic such as diclofenac for relief of pain . But I will advise you to get x-ray of left arm done to search for cause.You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful.
