Why Is It Hurting While Changing The Positions?

I have mild degentrative disk disease, bulging in the l4 l5 and S1, when roatating my core i can feel and hear gridding noses and sesation. I have bacame very off balanced, any time im in one postion for very long rather it be sitting standing or lyeing down, when i go to change positions it hurts,

Hello,

As what I see is you have a degenerative disc at L4-L5 and L5-S1 levels so the paraspinal muscles are weak here. The grinding sound what you hear is of the facet joints. Since there is no stability in the spinal column it needs to produce some sound and pain.

I would advice you to start working out for your core stability, back extensor strengthening and lower limb strengthening. As all these exercises are oriented to provide good strength to muscles and stability to the spinal column.

In my clinical experience of 12 years, most cases have been better till date with the above-mentioned exercise and some specific as per the needs.
