Why Is My Period Late?

Hi,I am 40 years old and I my period is over due by 4 days.I feel bloated and uncomfortable in the abdominal.I used a 7 month expried clera blue pregnancy test stick today morning and it showed I am pregnant I am not sure If I am , I intend to buy a new one and try again later in the day. Am i pregnant or is it premenopause.Any suggestion would be appreciated . Thanks.jd.
