Why Is Opening To Urethra Dark And Brown?

I went to my doctor Tuesday because I had a very strong urge to urinate right after I had gone. She put me on cipro for 5 days and I am on day four. The urge is gone after i go but i looked down there with a mirror and the opening to my urethra is dark like a brown. Is this normal?

I will analyze all your points and provide necessary explanation..

1. The urge that you had was of urinary tract infection, Uti because it responded to antibiotic ciplox.

2. Urge is decreased or subsided..
This means, your Uti is resolved but I suggest you continue antibiotic for total of 7 days at least instead of 5 days..

3. Well established Uti, we treat them for 10 to 14 days or at least one week..

4. Urethral opening, dark and brown is absolutely normal and you need not worry for that..
Yes, take this from me.. Do not worry at all!!
