Why Is The Blood Count Going Down Even After Taking Iron Supplement And Have Paget Disease, High BP And Diabetic?

I have paget disease and also I am anemic. I have a low blood count. Is there a connection having both. I am taking an iron supplement but cannot get my count to go up. Instead my count went down more. I also went gluten free and I notice my count went down. Is there a connection. I am a diabetic 2, and have high colesteral and high blood pressure. I eat lots of green vegetables and meat, but maybe not in the right combination to get iron into my system.

You are taking iron supplements. Thats fine, but did you have the iron levels tested? what about the vitamin B12 and folate levels? what was the exact hemogram - hemoglobin and blood indices. Have you been dewormed?
