Why Is The Fever Going Down On Taking Meftal And Recurring Again After Sometime ?

Hai. My child is 1.3 year. 12.3 kg. He had cold and nasal congestion since lasr 2 days. Given febrex plus for last two days 5 ml 3 tilmes. Today doctor prescribed Bilcalv DS 2.5 ml 3 times and sinarest plus 3.5 ml. Now the fever is 103.5 given maftal ps 3.5 ml and fever coming down but again increasing after 3 - 4 hours. Today also vomitted 2 times. Stool not passed today. Pleasr advise. Thanks. Vinod

Your son is suffering from cough and cold with super added infection.
Generally cough and cold is due to viral causes and it is self limiting.
But disease may be prolonged due to super added infection with bacteria.
Your doctor has prescribed right medicines.Antibiotics will take time to control the infection,so you should wait for 1-2 days.He will be alright with medicines.
