Why Is The Lining Of My Uterus So Thick Leading To Long Periods?
I just had an abdominal ultrasound done today because of having menses for 12 days and outside the 7 day range. I just began my menses on February 26th, I was told my endometrium was uniformly thick at 15.1 . I have a follow up with my gyno next Wednesday. My periods have always been regular and never heavy and lasted 4 days max, until January 19th, it was heavy and lasted about 12 days, then this one that started the 26th, but only lasted almost 6 days, heavy for the first 4 days. I am scared as to why my lining is so thick. I am 46.
Hi dear since the lining of the endometrium is thick suggest that the endometrium has grown abnormally . the reason could be that it could be endometriosis . Dear there is nothing to worry . I am sure that your doctor must have prescibed suitable drug for endometriosis. And in case that does not affect , they will resort to surgery . r
