Why Is The Urine Brown In Color?

I recently started P90x (an intense workout program) and since I ve started I ve been peeing brown. I take lamitcal and risperdol for bipolar disorder and I know kidney and liver damage can result in taking them. Do I need to go to the hospital to get a blood test or is it just toxins flushing out of my system?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It is not the toxins flushing out of the system, there can be possible damage to glomeruli of the kidney via risperidone or lamictal.

Immediately consult your doc and get basic urine microscopy done for evaluation of protein, RBC, WBC cast and else to fix the diagnosis and further care.

Till that time, drink plenty of liquids and maintain hydration.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
