Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hello,
it is quite common to have pain and swelling after 4 weeks in a finger fracture. Do not be scared and keep moving your finger. Fracture pain can sometime take up to 6 weeks. As far as swelling is concern it can last for 2 to 3 months. This is body trying to send more nutrition at fracture side by increasing blood flow. Do not worry , you will be fine. Avoid keeping bandage as finger may get stiff quickly,so physiotherapy needs to be continue.
