HI, I am blessed with a baby gal 15 days back. She dint cried and doctors here suggested for 24 hour oxygen ventilation. They told we will be giving celine to the baby. After that baby is not able to lift her right hand to upwards as she is doing with her left hand. whe

Hello,

Well, this must be totally the PICU case and the important measures were taken to make the baby healthier. Now you complain is about the baby now able to lift her right hand, I think you need to get it checked once if it is Erb's palsy? In some cases, it might happen and it may be for the small duration or maybe longer, based on the clinical examination we can comment much better. You even told they have given saline to the baby, so how was this given? any idea you have? or any other drug was provided for the baby?

Please have a discussion with the attending pediatrician so that they can examine the baby and provide the optimum solution.
