Why My Infant Is Having Gas Problems?

Hi Doctor my baby is just 1month and 15days old and he is always very gassy. He cries a lot and his complexion is also getting darker although he was born with a very fair complexion. But now I m noticing he is getting darker. Is it due to the pain he is suffering from gas? and please tell me what should I do to help him with his gas problem. Thank you :)

Hi, Thanks for asking. The problem of colic and gas usually is at its peak around 6 weeks of age and is ok by 12 weeks. You should burp your baby after every feeds. Also when he has gas problem you should keep him in prone position. Normally dabies at birth have a different skin tone. They gain their genetic skin tone as they grow. so do not worry about it. Its not due to gas problem.
I hope i have answered your question.
