Why Screws Are Coming Out Of Fractured Humerus And Unable To Lift Arm Over The Head?
In September I fell and fractured my proximal humerus. The doctor put in screws and plate. 2 weeks ago X-rays showed that one of the screws is coming out of the top of the head of the humerus. Doctor said he could put in shorter screws and this would give me better ROM. Right now I cannot lift my arm over my head. Is this a normal complicatio? What could heave caused this?

I am saddened with your suffering. First of all in shoulder injury like yours a strict excercise pattern is a must for good result.if the bone has united and if your doctor feels so the screw can be removed in day care admission.
Some restriction of shoulder movement like doing a combing of hair is normal complication after such injury.please send the xray picture.
