Why Some Areas On The Buttocks Are Hard And Has A Foul Odor?
My mother had some bad burns on the inside of her thighs and to the labia and the very bottom of her buttocks. I managed to get the burns healed without infection. Now the area that she sits on is gray, some areas are hard and it has a foul odor. HELP
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history about your Mother and understood the concerns. The hard burns on inner thigh, buttocks and labia can be multiple developing abscess that some have healed but the ones on the buttock being subjected to pressure can not be controlled without proper investigations and prescription based treatment. Hence I would advise you the following: Burns caused thus should be be examined by the Surgeon or Burns Specialist for clinical evaluation and investigations. Fouls smelling is usually due to infection hence the wounds need a local treatment with Hydrogen peroxide, Liquid povidone iodine and oral management with an antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medications.
