Dear Doctor, I am a female of 36years. I am 5 feet 2 inches and weigh 53.4Kg.A few days ago,I got urinary tract infection (without having any physical relationship with anyone) - very likely through the public toilet I have used in a Metro city. Because, from two /three hours after the use of the toilet, I started to get burning sensation at the time of urination. My doctor diagnosed the problem as urinary tract infection and advised to take ceftum 250 half tablet/ two times per day and Citraka syrup 1 teaspoon/4 times daily. This he suggested to continue for 4 days. After four days of this medication, the main burning sensation went away.. but I was not sure that I got completely free of that sensation. So He suggested to carry out urine examination and through Culture and Sensitivity Test - it was found that I have E.coli infection. He has suggested to take Norflox 400mg- 1 tablet/2 times per day for 5 days and drink a lot of water. I generally drink three to four ltrs. water per day. However, after two and half days of this last medication...... I think the burning sensation is returning back... what should be done now... Is the water intake not sufficient for Norflox 400mg? Kindly suggest
