Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I am afraid though that it is difficult to give one precise answer. That is because seizures do not have one single cause, there are many possible causes. May be due to a stroke, hypoxia during birth or trauma where the remaining tissue may be more prone to abnormal compensating synapses and discharges. May be due to an infection with inflammation. May be due to a tumor with abnormal cells disrupting the function of normal ones. May be due to hormonal and metabolic alterations. May also be idiopathic where the cause can not be found and may be due to genetic abnormalities in ion channels in cell membranes.

So explanation may differ (when identifiable) from patient to patient, there is not one universal answer.
