Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, i ve had a pain in the inner side of my ankle (of my right leg) as well as tinging/pins and needles in my right foot for about 2 hours now, and i haven t been doing any exercise or anything that could have damaged it. what could it be and how could i stop the pain?
The tingling and pins kind of sensation is referred to as nerve entrapment.
Kindly take the McKenzie maneuver position and see if the symptoms reduce. If it does then its nerve root entrapment in the lumbar spine. You can also check the McKenzie maneuver online.
Once we find its related to nerve entrapment, I will advise you to head for MRI lumbar spine and see the possible soft tissue injury associated.
Post this, stability exercise, spinal muscle strengthening exercises, hip muscle strengthening exercises, and lower limb strengthening exercises will help improve the overall condition.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
