Why There Is Swelling And Pain Along The Gum Line And Jawline?

Today I went for a CTscan on the rt mandibular fixed lymphnode and tonight I started getting swelling all along the gumline to my ear and pain above the jawline in my cheek I dont have a tooth above the fixed lymphnode it was pulled out years ago but the gums are swelling fast. I havent received the results from the ct scan yet I would like to know if this is concern enough to go to the ER
