Why Was My Son Smelling Turpentine?

Hello Doctor,

Doctor prescribed Taxim O dry Syrup for my son with 7.5 ml morning and evening for 3 days.

And we got the Syp.Taxim o 50mg/30ml.

We mixed the Syp. with the water till the mark in the bottle. But i couldnt mix the full water which was given.

With 2 times of consumption of 7.5ml each, the Syp.got over.

So I am worried did I mix not properly or what could have happened?

Please advice me what to do next.?

The problem was : My son had smell the Turpentine and not sure something has gone inside.

He vomitted 4 hrs later (he was absolutely fine and chest X-ray was OK) and after that he was in observation for 24 hrs. While discharging the doctor prescribed this.

Hi.... Many thanks for consulting in Health Care Magic. I don't see any need for antibiotic cefixime here. Please stop it. If he was smelling of turpentine it should have been a chemical pneumonitis & even then antibiotics especially cefixime is not going to work. Hope my answer was helpful for you. Happy to help anytime. Further clarifications and consultations on Health Care Magic are welcome.
