Why Was The Cotton Swab I Used In My Belly Button Red?
I used a cotton swab in my belly button and it came out a little Red. When I stick my finger in it it always smells awful. I don't take very good care of it. That is I never dry it out after a shower or during hot weather when I sweat a lot and I never clean it. I think I know what's wrong but please help me understand and give me some answers.

Hi The creases of the belly button have a tendency to collect dirt, water and keep it stagnant, This makes a nidus for any infection It is good and hygienic to clean and dry the area after having bath.simple antibiotic cream application will help to remove the superficial infection Take care
HI Well come to HCM Chances of infection is very likely if this was not taken care, in my opinion keep the area clean, and apply Povidone iodine ointment, no need to take any oral medicine, this would come around soon, hope this information helps.
