Why Were The Palms And Feet Of An Infant White After Coming From Outside?

Hi I just got back from the grocery store.it was cooler than usual outside but my baby was in his stroller and covered. After we bathed him on coming home I noticed his palms and base of feet were white. On rubbing them they returned to a normal pinkish color. Is this normal.
