Hi there.

It would be best to get your child evaluated by a paediatrician.
Has your son been diagnosed with umbilical hernia?
Does the swelling increase in size when he cries or tries to pass motion?
Any history of fever, constipation, vomiting etc?
Any history of trauma to the navel area? Any bruising?

Do get back to me if you have further queries

Regards,
Dr. Divya Kuttikrishnan
