Will Niftas And Pan40 For UTI Prevent Conception ?

am planning for pregnancy but i have been prescribed Niftas and Pan40 for curing the UTI, will taking of these tablets prevent conception.

In Urine Culture test report i have got probably significant growth of Entercoccus species, is that harmful if am trying to conceive. Please suggest?

Hi,

As you are taking Niftas and Pan40, I highly suggest not to think to conceive while you are on treatment. Once you stop the medications (at least, 10 days after stopping them), you can think about conceiving.

These tables will not prevent conception, but can damage your baby. That's why I highly suggest to post-pone conceiving after stopping these medications.

Enterococcus species is commonly found in the GI tract. As the pee hole and anus are very close in the females, they have greater chances to get infected.

That is not harmful for conceiving, but if letting untreated, can prevent conception.

It would be best to delay conception till the urinary tract infection is effectively treated.
Urinary tract infections can affect fetal development. Niftas can be used in pregnancy to treat urinary tract infections so it will not affect your ability to conceive.

Pan 40 is used to treat GERD (gastoesophageal reflux disease) and gastritis. It would not prevent pregnancy but may not be safe to use after you have conceive
