Will Regestrone 5mg Tablet Help In Getting Periods?

I am married for a year and I was supposed to get my preriods on 30th of last month but I haven't till now. There is a delay by 5 days. My doctor suggested me to have Regestrone 5mg tablet for 3 days to get the periods. I don't want to get pregnant at this poit of time due to some reasons. Do you think this medicine really will help me in getting my periods?
