Will Abortion Procedure Cause HIV?

Hi, please help me, I'm very worried. Actualy around 5 years back I had an abortion.it was in a local clinic a bit cheap one. All the equipments used were new as I bought them myself.but before my abortion the doctor inserted a medicine in my vagina, I am not sure with what and now I'm concerned whether it was sterlized or not, can I get hiv with that, plz help

Thanks for posting your query .

The chances are very very less but not nil . Unless the instrument was given previously to HIV positive patient and with still that patient's blood present if it's given to you only then you can get it . As told before extremely less likely .

But if you are anxious better you get HIV testing . This will clear your doubts .

One more advise don't get abortions in clinics , go to good hospitals .
