Will Adderall Interact With Anesthesia?
I m having surgery on my ankle next Wednesday. I m having a scope to remove scar tissue and then ligaments repaired. I believe it s called Bromstrom. My question is that I forgot to mention that I have been taking adderall for several months now. Between 20-30mg a day. Do I need to stop this? Will it affect the anesthesia? Now I m scared my surgery will be postponed

As you describe there is definitely a interaction between the adderal, and the general anaesthetics. While on anaesthetic, and unconscious, there may be a arrythmia of the heart, may be un noticed during surgery.
If it is stopped 36 hours before the surgery may be sufficient, for the use of anaesthetic to be used.
If it is not possible to have that much period, you can take, fruit juices to acidify the urine and eliminate the amphitamine, and dexamphitamine. (addiral).As an alternative ammonium chloride solution can eliminate the addiral.
I advise you to consult a surgeon for diagnosis and treatment.

Adderal is a stimulant drug and it has nothing to do with the anesthesia. Only thing it can do is to increase the dosage of anesthetics for its stimulant effects but nothing bothersome enough to result in surgery delay. But better to consult with your surgeons and anesthetic team about this drug or any drug for instance to stay out of woods. rest ssured. No worries is all i have to say
