Will Antibiotic Cream Help Cure Rashes?

My son who is now 10 is up to date with all immunications. On Sunday he fell backwards into a barb wire fence and scratched his back. We started sunday putting polysporin on his back. On tuesday he broke out with a rash around the scratched area. It almost looks like little pimples and itches very bad periodically. I was wondering if he could be allergic to antibiotic (i did apply same antibiotic to knee and no problems around that area) or if this is due to the scratch. It is now Thursday and wondering if I should still go get Tetanus shot or what to do. Thanks

Hello. The first thing is to administer tetanus vaccine if your child is not properly vaccinated. It is also necessary that the doctor see the wound to known if antibiotic (or corticosteroid)in cream must be prescribed or is necessary antibiotic by mouth.
I wish you good health.
