Can astigmatism be caused by a hit to the head? I'm 15, and about a year ago my father and I were im a car accident that left me with a concussion. After about 4 months of therapy, my sypmtoms (head aches, dizzy spells, trouble focusing, etc.) went away. My therapist said my concussion was gone but I might get it and the symptoms back about a year later, and to see my doctor if I do. I saw my doctor today, she said it could be my concussion returning, or something with my eyes. So I got my eyes checked, turns out I have astigmatism - my left eye is perfect in shape and sight, but my right eye is slightly oval shaped and has slightly blurry sight compared to my left eye. When I was in the car accident, I hit the right side of my head. Could my astigmatism have been caused by that?
