Will Cannabis Or The THC Medication Interfere With Medication For Skin Complication?

Hello, I was recently prescribed Azithromycin and Cetirizine (Zyrtec) for some skin complications. I told my Dermatologist that I did in fact have a medical marijuana card, and I assume he wouldn t prescribe me something that interferes with another medication. My question is does cannabis or the thc interfere with either medication? Thanks.

No the interactions between these drugs are highly unlikely. Azithromycin and cetrizine does not have any interaction with commercially available approved marijauna formulations.
Being a clinical pharmacologist, my opinion is your dermatologist has prescribed the most appropriate drugs for you. Hope this helps. Thank you.
