Will Delay In Anti Rabies Injection Create Any Problem?

i m a 15 year old girl who was bitten by a stray dog,i took the rabipur injection on the day i was bitten (i.e,day O)and later on the 3rd day,i missed it on the 14th day,and rather i have taken it on the 15th day.will this be a problem?will i have any effect of not taking the dosage properly and taking it 1 day later?

Hi,

Rabies vaccine first dose is very important. A delay by one to three days in the subsequent dose will not be of much significance since you must have started to develop antibodies by now. Hence, do not worry. Kindly complete your vaccination according to schedule to ensure total protection.
