sir my wife facing one problem . she s age 19.she facing irragular bleading when period time,i concelted one docter, docter give one medicin is desogestrel and ethinyl estradiol tablets usp , the docter said same rule when take the madicin,the role was you yave the medicin when start the period after three days . sir i want the opnion for the madicin and she s problem ,she have any side afact?, the medicin suite for the problem? pracnany?
Hi, Irregular bleeding needs to be investigated and then medicines need to be prescribed. I am not clear if the doctor that you visited was a gynecologist.
There are different causes of irregular bleeding and the most common is hormonal imbalances. The other reasons are infection of the genital tract or non cancerous tumors. So if your wife has not been examined for the size of the uterus and any diseases on the genital area, get it done by a gynecologist. Also get an ultrasound of the pelvis done to see for the uterus and ovaries. If everything is OK, it is most likely some hormonal problem.
The desogestral pill is actually a birth control pill but is is also used to help regularize the cycle. So you can use it for 3 months ans see the results. regular exercise and proper sleep are important to correct hormonal disturbances.
